The Bimota V Due was introduced in 1997 to revolutionize the motorcycle world with an essentially road legal GP bike. Technology included the first electronic direct fuel injection on a two-stroke motorcycle, cassette type gearbox and dry clutch. The initial production run of 150 were deemed unrideable and were subsequently bought back from customers by Bimota. Total production run is said to be 340 motorcycles. Some were later modified with carburettors and sold as Evoluzione models.
This example is exactly how it left the factory, with no modifications. It retains its original fuel injection and computer system. It has been fitted with new tires and a new battery, and is dry of oil and gas. Previously in the collection of BIMOTA SPIRIT in North Carolina.
