1972 Norton Commando Combat in the classic black with gold graphics. One owner since 1980, never molested and owned with care. This semi restored example has perfect professional paint with a metal tank with no filler. Carries a rebuilt front end with steering damper, along with new fork tubes, fork seals and gaiters. An RGM 13 mm master cylinder kit has been installed along with stainless steel braided brake hoses. The front brake rotor has been drilled and resurfaced as well. Adjustable Mk 3 type isolastics have been installed and it rolls on Excel alloy rims with Buchanans stainless steel spokes and nipples. Mounted are Avon Roadrider tires 100/90/19 front and 120/80/18 rear in like new condition. It has its original seat with minor blemishes and firm, comfortable foam. A new headlight shell has been installed with new Lucas turn signals. It also has new handlebars and a new battery. Upgrades include a Boyer solid-state ignition and a single Mikuni carburetor for added ease of maintenance and reliability. Original Amal carburetors are included. All aforementioned work and parts have less than 100 miles.
This superb looking Combat starts and runs as expected. Handles like new and stops as it should. The engine starts within 2 to 3 kicks and pulls strong. An absolute classic British bike with iconic style and sound.
